Hi alex. A NuWave oven is about the size of a microwave but is taller and takes up less space on the counter.
It cooks with the three different types of heat: convention, convection and infrared. Your food cooks in half the time and uses less energy than an electric stove. If I'm cooking boneless, skinless chicken breast, I can splash water on it, add my seasonings and place in the NuWave. It will still cook more quickly than doing so in a standard oven. The recipes are slightly different as far as times to cook and the other things you can do that you wouldn't think about doing in the ven. For example, you can dry fruits in it, bake potato chips from scratch...those are just a couple things. I've tried the recipes that came with the device and I just wondered if anybody uses it and does things that may not be in that book...along with the times. I'm not sure of anything dripping from the top. It could be a different version from what I have. Alex, it is one word and not spelled the way it sounds. It is N U W A V E. My dad has one, but he never explained what it does or how it's different from other ovens. Sorry I can't help you with that. Jennifer On 1/17/11, Alex Hall <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi all, > I am curious: just what is a NewWave (is that two words?) oven?
