Almost for sure none of those controls are accessible.  I use a talking 
clock to do my timing when I grill and ignore the timer on the grill for 
that reason.  One thing I do with timing is to listen to what the first 
minute is but start counting when the next minute starts and wait until 
one minute after the cooking time is done to take something off.  If I 
hear 11:34 as the first time and have to cook an item for 8 minutes I 
start counting at 11:35 and end counting and cooking at 11:43.  Shortwave 
raio clock stations can also be useful for this but since their reporting 
is in less than 1 minute increments you don't need to wait until the next
