yes, you can freeze bananas.  Peel them first.
I use frozen bananas in smoothies as well as use them to make a frozen dessert - tastes like banana ice cream. Jus put the frozen bananas in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. Put back in the freezer and stir every hour or so to keep it smooth and creamy.
