Honey, Date and Walnut Bars 

1/2 cup  all-purpose flour 
1 teaspoon  baking powder 
1/4 teaspoon  salt 
1/2 cup  All-Bran cereal or  All-Bran Buds cereal 
1 cup  chopped dates 
1/2 cup  coarsely chopped walnuts 
2 teaspoons  grated orange rind, optional 
2  eggs 
3/4 cup  liquid honey 

1. In medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in cereal, 
dates and walnuts. Set aside. 

2. In large mixing bowl, beat eggs and oil until thick. Stir in flour mixture 
until combined. 

3. Spread batter evenly in 9 inch square baking pan coated with non-stick 
cooking spray. 

4. Bake at 375ºF for about 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in 
centre comes out clean. Let cool, cut into bars. 

YIELD: 18 bars
