The gingerbread men we made today turned out great. What was happening was that
once and a while the cookie that was cut was in the cutter. That was easy
because I could remove the man without damaging it. We used plenty of flower.
The cookies that weren't in the cutter were in the dough. I could feel the
print of the gingerbread man, but I could not free it without damaging it. My
daughter who could see was able to remove the cookie by itself without damage.

The next time I do cookies like this, would it be best to have a plate with
flour in it?That way I could dip the cutter in the flour, and all my cookies
would go straight into the cutter.

Any ideas about this would be greatly appreciated. The cookies turned out well.

Hi Tom
try to place the cookie cutter in flour before pressing down on the dough,
maybe that will help?
