Tofu Burgers

 

1 lb firm tofu, drained and mashed

1 envelope dry onion soup mix

1 tsp garlic powder

2 eggs, beaten

2 tsp tamari or soy sauce

3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

2 cup seasoned stuffing mix, (2 to 3)

butter or oil for frying

 

Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Mix thoroughly with hands.

 

Mix in stuffing until texture is firm enough to form patties. Let sit

for five minutes.

 

Using about 2/3 cup of the mixture per ball, flatten into patties.

 

Heat small amount of oil or butter in pan or skillet.

 

Fry patties until crispy on both sides.

 

Makes 6 servings
