Grass-fed and free-range meats and chickens are more expensive, but I
would rather eat them less often or eat smaller portions than to eat
industrially-raised chicken, pork or beef or lamb, or farm-raised fish
and seafood that all contain antibiotics which are causing
antibiotic-resistant illnesses to flourish and hormonal imbalances in
our children, and an obesity epidemic that threatens all of our health
and safety, not to mention our economy!

To each his or her own, I guess, but I strongly recommend you read
"The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Polland, or visit the Slow Foods
web site or just think about the unethical ways so many of our meats,
fowl, and fish are raised.
