Troy, I prefer using a large colander. I tip the pan of meat into the
colander, and I have the colander balanced atop an old coffee can or
large jar. The grease drains into one of those containers. When the
dripping has ceased, I take a plastic/rubber spoon and gently stir the
meat so additional grease drains.

I have tried using the locklid pan that has holes on the side of the
pan, but they don't drain as well as I would like, and I can no longer
hold the pan for as long as it takes to drain the grease. The
colander and I have become best friends. <Smile>. hth
