Well, of course the classic answer is that you "put the lime in the coconut
and drink it all up." But they're also a good addition to salsa, especially
with chipotle. You can also squeeze them and use them as a marinade with
other spices over fish or chicken. I've used them to stuff a turkey, too,
though they will impart a lot more flavor than oranges or lemons. (If you
stuff a bird with citrus it stays moist and gets a bit of the citrus flavor
in the meat, which is quite tasty -- it's a subtle thing with lemons or
oranges but a lot more pronounced with line, and always peel the limes if
you're going to do this)
Limes also make a good garnish. And there's the trick of slipping a lime
wedge into a bottle of Corona beer, if you drink such things.

Subject: [CnD] what to do with limes?

Hi all,
Saturday, my sister made a pie which had a lime crust. Now, we have a bunch
of limes leftover, and are not sure what to do with them. Aside from
lime-aid, what are your thoughts on how e could use the limes? Dessert or
meals, I'll take anything. Thanks.

Have a great day,
Alex (msg sent from Mac Mini)
