For camp cobbler use flaky layer normal sized biscuits, splitting them to half their height so you get twice as many biscuit pieces, and layer them over the fruit mixture, baking normally. I've had this crust over peaches many times in a cast iron Dutch oven, and it's amazing.

Directions: Put the water sugar and berries in a sauce pan and cook them a few minutes. Add some water to the corn starch to use it as making gravy. About 3 tablespoons of water should do it. add just enough of the corn starch to thicken the berries. Now get out the Phylo dough that you bought at the local grocery or even the cream puff dough will work. Add the berries to the dough and wrap the dough over the berries. Bake at 400 F until brown. I have my wife check them and can't tell you the time for sure. But I think it is about 15 minutes. Or you can make your own dough. 2 cups of flour 1 tbs baking powder 1 tsp of salt, I use about 1/2 tsp 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar. I only use 1 1/3 cup shortening a little over 1 cup of milk to make a dough that is a little thinner than a biscuit dough, Layer over berries and bake at 400 F for 15 minutes or until edges of dough starts turning brown. Hope this helps.
