TWO RECIPES FOR Hershey's Chocolate Frosting

 

Recipe 1:

Makes about 2 cups of frosting. Fabulous on a chocolate layer cake!

 

Ingredients:

6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

1/3 cup cocoa

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar

 

Directions:

Cream butter in a small mixing bowl. Add cocoa and sugar alternately with
milk. Beat to spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla extract. Adjust
consistency if necessary with more milk or icing sugar.

 

Hershey's One-Bowl Butter cream Frosting, 

Recipe 2:

Makes about 2 cups.

*This is a richer thicker frosting than above recipe

 

Ingredients:

6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

1/2 cup Hershey's Cocoa or Hershey's European Style Cocoa

4 to 6 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Directions:

Beat butter in medium bowl. Add confectioners' sugar and cocoa alternately
with milk, beating to spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla extract.
