Those bags don't tear or leave any aftertaste.  When I use them, I 
gather up the top of the bag so it's all closed up and lift the whole 
bag out of the crockpot then either put that bag into another large bowl 
and put the bowl in the refrigerator after using a twist tie to close 
the top of the bag.  If I'm going to eat food from the bag,I just open 
the bag up and transfer out what I want either into a smaller bowl or 
onto a plate.  Meatloaf I think I'd wait until the refrigerator had time 
to get the temperature down then get the loaf out and microwave a little 
of it before eating.
