It is simple
1 part tomato paste
2 parts puree
equal amount of water
1 onion chopped fine
as much garlic as you like to fit your taste
dried oregano, basil, salt and pepper to paste.

In a sauce pan that fits your need, add some oil, just enough to cover the bottom of pan so onions won't stick. Fry the onions until tender. Add the can of paste, and than the puree. Next the water. Stir well to get the paste to break up. Now take the fresh garlic and cut it up into the sauce, Season to taste. Turn on low and cook to the desired thickness

Or to make life simple.
Take a 26 ounce can of store bought tomato sauce and after frying the onion dump the sauce into the pan and add some fresh garlic, basil, oregano, and black pepper. I seldom use salt if using store bought.

Subject: [CnD] Tomato sauce

Hi, I'm looking for a recipe for my sister. She would like a tomato sauce recipe that doesn't have any meat in it.
Thanks in advance.
