My mom always made two different types of potato salad. And I think it was
because she didn't like mayonnaise. She never gave me amounts. The one
with
mayonnaise, which I've made, had celery, onions and hardboiled eggs. The
other one had vinegar and oil, which she'd mix together as a dressing and

had oregano. It didn't have any onions because she didn't like them and no
hardboiled eggs.

I never put eggs in my potato salad, and I guess that is because my
husband
never wanted it that way and only ate eggs in stuff, like baked goods; he
never would eat any type of eggs, scrambled, fried, etc. I put mayonnaise
or
Miracle Whip in my potato salad, chopped onion, sweet pickle relish, and
sometimes, chopped celery, or a dash of celery salt.

I've added some finely chopped celery and minced onion to mine. The key is
