There are at least two sizes of rice cooker. I've forgotten the exact capacity of the larger one but I think you can put up to three cups of rice in it. I have a small one and I can put two cups in it. YOu need two and a half cups water per cup of rice. You add butter and seasonings and turn it on. Mine has two little lights on it; one shows that the cooker is on and working. the other lights when the rice is finished and is now just being kept warm until you serve it. You can steam vegetables in it, too. But I haven't used it for that, not yet anyway. I can tell when the lights are lit with a light probe. The neat thing about this machine is that you just start it and forget it. White rice takes 25 to 30 minutes while brown rice takes about 45 minutes. So I set my cooking timer to remind me when to check that it might be done.
I bought mine at Walmart and paid something like ttwelve dollars for it

Subject: [CnD] Rice Cookers

Greetings,
I’m looking for a rice cooer. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I enjoy all kinds of rice, but have never bought one.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.
Best Wishes,
Suzanne
