The change in temperature is what causes the pot to crack. Whether from being heated and then refrigerated soon, or the opposite, I would not do it.

Subject: [CnD] Crock pot

Hi, I have a question. I'm wondering if I could put the bowl that comes with my crockpot into the fridge? It is the removable bowl that comes in the pot, and I'm wondering if that bowl could go into the fridge until my food cools down enough for me to transfer to another container? I know you're not supposed to put the actual pot in the fridge because of the electric parts, though the bowl is just a bowl which is why I'm wondering if I can do that. Thanks for your help.
Mary
