Since you can't use garlic you might want to get some hind, also called aesfeotidae. You see this in some Indian (dots, not feathers) recipes and in recipes from the Hare Krishna because Krishna is thought to be against the consumption of garlic. It'll impart some of the garlic flavor without being garlic. Of course, I don't know if it'll conflict with medication.
