You can, but I usually use shortening. If using the olive oil, just lightly
coat the skillet.

I am in the process of using my cast-iron skillet to bake a pizza in.
Something I either heard about on this list or somewheres else I read.
What I was wondering is, could I put a little olive oil in the bottom of
