This is the easiest way. If you have a mixing bowl with a pouring spout, it
makes directing the batter easier too. I use clean fingers to scrape the
bowl well or you can use a thin scraper if you'd like. I've used a little
sheet of wax paper over my hand  if I had people around watching who would
trip out on me using my fingers.
