A pressure cooker is a simple device. My Presto works well, and my suggestion is to get one that's a well-established brand. The reality of pressure cookers is that the rubber gasket is going to die at some point, and it'll croak off long before the pot, lid, and valve bob lose functionality, so having one that is still around so you can buy a replacement gasket is important to keep the pressure cooker usable. I had to buy a new gasket recently and I was quite happy that the pressure cooker was such an established brand, so I found a gasket on Amazon with no problem. Note too that places like Bed Bath and Beyond have proven to be useless for buying replacements for pressure cooker gaskets.
