Hello all you busy cooks. As my subject line indicates I am seeking information about an accessible range. We are getting ready to remodel our kitchen and replacement of all of the appliances is part of the project. Selecting everything but the range has been easy, but I do have some concerns about my options for that appliance. We need a gas slide in model. Our current range is almost 25 years old so of course things have changed. The burners are now configured differently and in fact will be much easier for me to operate. The digital ovens may or may not be as doable. After doing a lot of research we are very interested in a GE gas range. While I believe I will be able to place dots in a few strategic places, the GE gas ranges apparently do not beep when a selection is made. In short, I am rather nervous about whether or not I will be able to operate this unit and would be very interested in hearing from anyone who is cooking on a newer model gas range with digital oven. Also, does anyone have information about another group for blind cooks where I can post my query?
