Oatmeal CHERRY COBBLER

1 cup flour
3/4 cup  oatmeal
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar (granulated)
1 cup water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 cups pitted cherries

Combine flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, brown sugar and butter. Press half of the 
mixture into an 8 by 8 pan. 
Cook 1 cup granulated sugar, water, cornstarch and vanilla until very thick. 
Add cherries and mix thoroughly. 
Spread into cake pan and top with remaining oatmeal mixture. 
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
