It's my guess that people who ask to be unsubscribed either don't keep the welcome messages to the forums to which they subscribe so they would know how to unsubscribe or they don't keep a copy of the rules. I create a folder for each forum to which I am subscribed that includes that information. Maybe they forget to do that.
