Sweet 'N Sour Roast 1 (2 pound) beef roast
1/2 cup pickle juice or apple cider vinegar 3 tablespoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons salt 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 cup water Place roast into 2 quart slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over the roast. Cover; cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until meat is tender but not dry. Variation: Place 5 medium-sized potatoes, cubed, in the bottom of the cooker. Add enough water to just cover the potatoes. Top with 1 quart frozen green beans. Then add roast and continue as directed above. Makes 5 servings.
