It depends on which grill she brings -- they have some that have no controls at all, while others have them. Make sure you know where the handle is on the front so you can open it, because you don't want to touch the plates. I don't know if she's still got the spatula that shipped with it, but I've found that a bigger one works better in getting meat off the grill.
