avacado peel is inedible so yes it needs to be removed. The seed and fruit are edible though the seed will need to be run through a blender when making a smoothy. Apparently the seed has more nutrition in it than the fruit and is supposed to taste like sweet chestnuts. I was listening to the doctors tv program and picked that bit of information up.

Subject: [CnD] question about avacadoes in a recipe

Hi, do you peel avacados before you add them to a recipe? I have a recipe
for a tuna salad that uses them and everything is raw for a cold salad. I
have never used avacados before but I like them very very much. The salad
calls also for cucumbers, cilantro, lemon, olive oil, onion, tuna, salt,
pepper, and possibly something else. I will have to refer back to the
youtube video where I got it to be sure, but that may be it. Thanks and
have a blessed day.
