I've developed several recipes, but that's a factor of prior knowledge mixed with a bit of intuition and most often a lot of trial and error as I focus down the components. This one is problematic, as the flavors are complex enough that balancing is somewhat more of a challenge. I made the recipe in question only once, though I remember it was well received as it was something different. I do think the sour cream was more of a base element than a major flavor component, though I seem to remember it did a nice job of balancing the jelly with the bite of the horseradish. What amazes me at this point, with the vast number of recipes on the web, is that any recipe could be missing from at least one online example.

I for one would like to know how you develop a recipe. _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list Cookinginthedark@acbradio.org http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list Cookinginthedark@acbradio.org http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark
