Pumpkin Muffins 2

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup shortening

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup pumpkin

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in
shortening until fine. Combine egg, pumpkin and milk. Add to dry mixture;
mix until just moistened. Stir in raisins. Fill greased muffin cups
two-thirds full. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

Makes 1 dozen.
