A Lady's Touch Cornbread submitted by Julie Morales

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup whole wheat, unbleached or all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 to 1/2 Tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
1-1/4  cups milk.


Combine dry ingredients.
Stir in liquids and spoon in to greased 8 inch square Pyrex dish Bake at 400
F for 20 minutes.
Recipe can easily be doubled and baked in a 9 by 13 inch Pyrex dish.
