Hello all,
Has anyone had any luck compiling and running the recent Coot pre-releases
under SuSE 10.3 (64-bit), using GTK2?
Not me :(
Using the autobuilder-simple script, Coot compiles and runs fine, but is
unable to display maps from MTZ files. Coordinates and pre-calculated maps
are no-problem, but if I try and read an MTZ file, the column label
assignment window pops up alright, but upon reading the file, Coot totally
seizes.
I have a 64 bit Ubuntu and this behaviour sounds very similar. For me
it hangs without crashing (maybe I don't wait long enough).
There is a fairly extensive crash report generated, which I can send if
necessary.
Yes, please send to me privately
Oddly enough, the GTK1 build is fine.
How interesting! I had not tried that.
What we know so far is that (in gtk2 coot) it seems to have trouble in
the fft routine. However, Kevin's stand-alone fft test in the clipper
suite (which runs more or less the same code) runs just fine. We have
not tracked it down any further than that - I shelved further work on
this until after 0.5 is released.

Paul.
