Most important, just a quick question. Can I save the NCS-averaged maps
coot calculates? I've hunted for buttons/menus and in the manual but don't
see it as an option.....
Yes, you can. Extensions -> Export Map... (its natural/correct home, I
guess, is under the File menu)
However, note that the NCS averaged map only makes sense in the region
of the "master" chain.
The other issue is minor to me at the moment- but the cool buttons along the
right side of the window aren't showing up in this distro. The same binary
on Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 is fine...
I'd guess then that the libraries under GTK+ in "this distro" does not
handle svg image icons.
Using binary
coot-0.5-pre-1-revision-1083-binary-Linux-i686-ubuntu-6.06.1-python-gtk2.tar
on Ubuntu Hardy 8.4 I get:
pixbuf = gtk.gdk.pixbuf_new_from_file(filename)
GError: Couldn't recognize the image file format for file
'/usr/local/bin/Coot-0.5/coot-Linux-i686-ubuntu-6.06.1-gtk2/share/coo
t/pixmaps/peptide-omega.svg'
BL ERROR: couldn't load coot_toolbuttons.py
Ah yes. Hmm - I wonder why that could be... I'll make a note to test
it myself.
For the record, AFAIR, Coot compiles fine under Hardy (well, if you
ignore the avalanche of mmdb warning messages).
Cheers,
