For the record, "Add Alt Conf" didn't disappear. It was never selected
for appearance. I had to make some hard decisions about what went into
the vertical modelling tool-bar. I am not sure that I have it right
now, as I recently discovered that on a laptop with 100dpi fonts and a
800-pixel height resolution (not uncommon), then the tool-bar is so long
that the GNOME panel obscures the status bar. Not good. I suppose that
the Right Thing is to make it runtime configurable.
And on a more technical note: Roni (if I understand your point) yes this
is an issue. The "actions" on GUI button presses can easily produce a
script command, however the "actions" on making a *graphics* event (e.g.
picking an atom) make it more difficult to generate the appropriate
scripting command and so in the case that you describe, it doesn't
happen. I'll make a note to see if can be added.
It would also be nice, I think if you could add your own button do this
(split the residue at the centre of the screen) to the horizontal
tool-bar. I will make a note to add this functionality too.
Paul.

Thanks Kevin... though I still don't see the scheme command; the only
thing in the terminal window is the (...-type-number) option.

Oops - it appears to be missing from the toolbar, however I can still
get to it by opening the model/fit/refine panel from the calculate menu.

Hi all,
I'm using coot-0.5-pre-1-revision-1185 -- love the new menus, look &
feel on FC8, but it looks like "Add Alt. Conf..." disappeared from the
menu choices and the dialogs.
I tried to look in the reference manual, but I can't find something
obviously named as a script function... Paul/anyone?
Thanks,
Roni
