Hi Paul, A request: The probe on a local bit of chain is nice when it appears after some refinement, etc. Is there a way to simply ask coot for probe from "here" to "there"? I.e. pick two residues. BTW, probe reports an erronous clash at one end of a short sequence. I imagine that's where the probe "ball" winds around the "tail" of the sequence & doesn't know it is connected to the next residue. Now the crash - it seems to be associated with "find atom" by using the middle mouse button or the find atom window either as go to residue or next/previous residue when the atom occupancies are zero. The crash is complete - no warning at all. I'm using the latest WinCoot - 1-2 days old. This happens with old ones as well. Best, Bob
