Are you aware of "Extensions/NCS/Copy NCS chain"? (You'll need 0.5).
In 3 clicks and a chain ID it will copy all changes from one chain to
every other copy.
It won't do further changes on the fly though. (That is certainly
possible, but needs careful design thought - consider the confused user
who edits chain A, discovers B no longer fits, edits chain B, discovers
A no longer fits.)
