Hi,
I installed the last version of coot on mac OS X 10.5.5 (intel cpu), and I
have a new problem (the previous versions worked great). When I run coot and
do file open coordinates file I have this message:

"XGetSelectionOwner: old version of gcin or gcin is not running ??
... try to start a new gcin server /sw/bin/gcin
gcin get env LC_CTYPE=(null) LC_ALL=(null) LANG=(null)

load_gtab_list /sw/share/gcin/table/gtab.list

cannot bind: No such file or directory

I can open coordinates but it dialogue box I cannot write anything. I
reinstall via fink gcin, gtk2+, coot... I also installed the last version of
Xcode tools, but still the same problem.

Did anyone experience the same problem and have a solution?

Dear Pierre,

I don't know what is going on here. gcin, as you probably gathered is a interface for inputing Chinese characters in Gtk applications. It is not clear to me why or how that is interfering with Coot dialogs. I suggest that you disable or remove gcin (via fink if necessary, I suppose) when you use Coot.
