Hi,
i was wondering, would it be so difficult to have the "display
manager" window in a way that when you resize it the map and
molecules
panels do not resize the same way?
I mean, when I have 5 pdbs loaded and only two maps, the only way
to
have the 5 molecules all visible in the lower panel is having a
upper
panel in which there's space for 5 maps. A little bit of waste of
space, in my crowded desktop...
I dont know which version of Coot you use, but usually you can move
the
separator between the maps and molecules up and down (indicated by a
few
dots under the map bottom scroll bar). In this way you can make the
space you want.
No way!!! I never noticed that!!!
That should definitely do.
btw, I used to be a big fan of Wincoot and always will thank you for
your work, but have now become a Steve Jobs disciple...
Also, I think that a button in the display manager by which one
could
control wether or not the molecule's symmetries are visible would
be
very nice.
We could think about this, however the 'Display Manager' is kind of
crowded as it is and we may not want to make it worse... (N.B. we are
thinking about some rework of the display manager anyway, maybe there
will be space then...).

Sounds nice! Just wanted to put forward the issue, to see if anyone
was interested.
Thanks a lot,
