Using Bill Scott's fink method for installing Coot on OS X, 0.6-pre-1-r2246
works with stereo on both Intel and PPC with Quadro 4500s.  I don't see any
reason that it wouldn't work with the 4800, but I don't have one to test,
so YMMV.

Quad buffered stereo on OS X seems to be a pretty niche market, since the
cards are ridiculously expensive, and X11's stereo support was broken for 
more than a year on 10.5.

If you haven't bought the card yet, I think the Zalman 3d LCD is a much
better deal at this point in time.
