shelxe does not produce an fcf-file (that's shelxl), only the phs-file
which has to be read via the symmetry and cell information from e.g. the
hat-file. But I have not observed the behaviour Robert describes before,
so I cannot comment, I am afraid. But R32 sounds suspicious like it
could be the reason for this behaviour...
