I'm currently building most of my structures using COOT and a HD2500 of
a Sandybrigde CPU on my Thinkpad with ubuntu 12.04 system (with mesa
downgrade). I assume you will use a linux distribution and I'm pretty
sure you will be able to work very well with it.
