Petra, things are not as they used to be (IIRC :). Damn modern
"short-screen" laptops with the same pixels as a smartphone...
Mark:
Also note that the icons for the functions are customisable
Edit -> Preferences -> Refinement toolbar
Then click off some functions until it fits
The font size is under control of the theme manager - that is to say
that the font (size) is the same as that of other gnome/gtk applications.

Paul.

Hallo Mark
To start coot type

You should get with smaller icons and font to fit on small screen
displays..just like on my diminutive laptop.

*Subject:* Button Size and Font Size in Coot
Hi,
I am currently using Coot-0.7 that is installed on Ubuntu 12.10. As
it is a laptop; the screen size is quite limited. Is there any way to
make the size of the buttons on the refinement toolbar smaller, and is
there any way to reduce the font size that coot uses in dialogue boxes?
Many thanks in advance
Mark
