Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a (preferably python) scripting function that replicates the Measures—>distances and angles—> distance tool? I have looked in the manual and couldn’t find it.
I find myself using it very frequently while building to check that contact distances, hydrogen bonds etc are sensible, and I would quite like to assign it to a toolbar button or hotkey so that it is one click away rather than three. I realize that the "environment distances” function covers some of this function, and I have a toggle for that bound to “D", but I still often want to measure the distance between specific pairs of atoms. On a unrelated topic, I really like the autocomplete function of the python scripting interface in coot, and have used it to find several useful functions that do not appear to be documented in the manual. It does however require guessing the start of the function name - is there any way to search the list of available functions using wildcards - e.g. to find all functions matching “*sharpen*”?
