I can confirm that coot runs without problems when labels are on the screen (no noticeable difference in the speed of spinview), using a RHEL6-clone on my Toshiba Portege R700-19L (http://www.toshiba.de/discontinued-products/portege-r700-19l/) which has Intel HD3000 graphics (I think).
