Hi Paul,

I gave it a shot, while the environmental parameter does bring the toolbar
down onto the window, the issue still persists and various sub-panels are
not populated. A colleague suggested I updated to 17.10, which I may do in
the near future, or alternatively I could just get used to xfce.
