I am having a hard time getting access to the extensions via curlew option in coot. I tried running different versions of coot but none worked. Only the ccp-em version (0.9-pre) allowed me to open the curlew function but there were no extensions visible. Do anyone know how to address this problem? I noticed in some of the videos online demonstrating the extensions are running coot 0.9-pre version 9099 but I can’t seem to locate that version.
I am sorry for the curlew issues. I hard-coded the address (and protocol) into the interface. This turns out to have been a mistake. After an incident our web server was updated and the old protocol (http) no longer works.
CCP-EM tracks the refinement branch which has a fix. There is a fix 5a2737a0199b763fa065e75dc591740fe9925844, in the master branch that should also address this.
But/Also, coot depends on a version of libcurl that now needs to have been configured and compiled with OpenSSL/https support. I am in the process of adding this to the build script - not done yet because I don't know how to make it work on Mac OS X.
This whole curlew thing has turned into a frustrating mess :-( I will announce here on the list when I get things sorted out.
