Yes. Typically, $HOME/.coot-preferences/startup.py. But any file-name
ending in .py in $HOME/.coot-preferences will do.
I'd like to change the default map display properties and map
parameters in more detail.
Have a look at the python state file in the current directory. That will
give you a start.
