Hi Paul

Thanks a lot.

Yes, I could have done the fitting on COOT :-)

I can see these options under "Edit". But I am still struggling.

Let me clarify, I have modelled 10 A-form RNA chains, chain A, B, ........... Now I want to merge all chains into one chain , for example into chain A which I can do. But I don't know how to renumber residues from 1 to 207 (total 207-nts) under chain A which are at the moment assigned under multiple chains.

I can't find the options to merge 1-50 from A, 51-90 from B and so on....

Can I have a little bit more help, please?

Many thanks

Saif

I have done rigid body fitting of a couple of chains of "A form RNA" into an EM map using Chimera.
Why not do it in Coot? Or, put it another way: what does Chimera give you for rigid body fitting that Coot does not?

Now I intend to join the chains and renumber the residues according to RNA sequence on COOT.
OK.

Could anyone please share their experience of how to do this on COOT?
Merge Molecules, Change Chain IDs and Renumber Residues are Edit menu items.

Paul.
