I am finding that in some cases, CCP4 format maps will only display
within the default unit cell that shows with "Show Unit Cells?" from
Draw->Cell & Symmetry. These maps won't display for regions outside
the default unit cell. Maps read as mtz coefficients, however, do
display outside the default unit cell for example when the center is
dragged. I think CCP4 format maps used to display outside the cell.
Is there a setting that controls this? I have tried checking "Dynamic
map display size".
The above behavior also doesn't always occur. For example, I'm having
the above problem with two different tetragonal cells and a cubic
cell, but not with a hexagonal cell.
Thanks for any help.
Coot thinks that if you have a cell with spacegroup P1 and 90 degree
cell angles then this is a cryo-EM map and turns off "out of box" map
generation.
To turn it on in such a case, you need to add a label with the text
"PANDA::".
Sorry, I made a mistake. That should be "PANDDA::".
Paul.
