I have created a JIRA issue for the same https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-3199 -Ankur -----Original Message----- From: Nathan Fiedler [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2008 10:48 PM To: Goel, Ankur Subject: Re: FTP Server for Hadoop I can't say if such a thing has been done, but I certainly haven't heard of it. Sounds like a great idea, by the way. Would make setting up an M-R application easier if you could populate the data set in an easy fashion, and ftp is certainly a well supported transport mechanism. Would also offer another economical way for ftp mirror sites to manage their storage, I suspect.
