Tom White updated HADOOP-5190:
------------------------------
Attachment: hadoop-5190.patch
Here's a patch for the top-level site which demonstrates the required changes.
From reading the Forrest user list it appears that to embed the code for
analytics tracking needs a change to the default skin, since arbitrary code
cannot be added to the xdocs. I've attached the files for a new skin
(hadoop-pelt, based on the pelt skin) in a tarball - note I haven't added the
actual tracking code yet. There are notes on adding new skins which i found
useful here: http://forrest.apache.org/docs_0_90/your-project.html#skins and
http://www.actail.de/documentation/Other/ForrestNotes/integrateGoogleAnalytics.html.
I think we'll need to add the files for the new skin to each sub-project site
to get the tracking to work, unless anyone can see a better way.

> It would be great to collect analytics about the visitors to the website and
> to do so, we need to create a privacy policy that tells visitors what we will
> collect.
