For a multi-channel device, is there a way to determine the maximum
number channels that have been opened by clients?
Something akin to kAudioDevicePropertyDeviceIsRunningSomewhere.
We have an audio device driver, where we want to apply some processing
which can change based on whether only 2 channels are being used for
playback or 6 (5.1) channels are being used.
Currently, the driver simply gets a mix of 6 channels, so we have no way
of knowing if clients are using only 2 of those 6 channels.
